IFireSS2027: The 6th International Fire Safety Symposium, 2027 University of Insubria Como, Italy, June 23-25, 2027

The demand for Fire Safety is growing in all Societies of the World, despite different specific scenarios and responses are envisaged at both governmental and technical levels. Scientific Research plays a crucial role, defining the technical and knowledge advancements in the highly multi-disciplinary sector of Fire Safety Engineering (FSE).

IFireSS, i.e. the CIB W014’s International Fire Safety Symposium, takes place every two years in different parts of the World with the aim to contribute to the exchange of ideas and opinions among researchers, planners and practitioners, and to draw the future of the area.​

IFireSS provides a unique opportunity of sewing the several disciplines of FSE, allowing a high-level confrontation that brings together both experienced and new generations of researchers, including Post-Docs and PhD students.

Submission Guidelines

The submission of extended abstracts and papers is managed through EasyChair.

Call for Special Sessions are to be submitted to secretariat@ifiress2027.com until October 18th, 2027.

Publication

Each extended abstract will be subjected to a rigorous peer review process. The final papers will be subjected to formal review checks. All accepted papers prior the defined deadline will be included in the conference proceedings, to which an ISBN will be attributed. The papers will not be indexed in typical research databases (e.g. Scopus). Excellence papers will be invited to submit extended papers to scientific journals, including the Journal of Structural Fire Engineering, and Chemical Engineering Transactions.

Venue

The conference will be held in the city of Como, Italy. University of Insubria will host the conference in both the Sant'Abbondio monastery (welcome aperitivo) and via Valleggio campus (plenary and ordinary sessions), right beside the Firefighters Command of the Province.
